Education
May 2024 - Current
(Expected July 2025)
Adams State University
I am currently pursuing my Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction, where I focus on blending art with pedagogy to develop dynamic, engaging lesson plans that inspire creative thinking among students. My studies emphasize research in instructional design, effective teaching methodologies, and curriculum development, equipping me with the skills to foster transformative learning environments in the arts. Alongside my coursework, I have begun student teaching, which allows me to apply theoretical insights in real classroom settings and continuously refine my approach as an educator.
August 2017 - December 2022
University of Colorado Denver
My undergraduate journey culminated in a compelling thesis project featuring two sculptures that explored themes of materialism and environmental impact in Colorado. This project was exhibited for a month at the Redline Gallery, demonstrating my ability to conceptualize and execute meaningful artistic statements. Through this experience, I developed critical technical skills and an innovative approach to visual storytelling.
August 2013 - May 2017
Grandview High School
During high school, I immersed myself in the arts—displaying 16 original pieces in our annual art show and earning a Scholastic Art Award (Silver Key Award) for an innovative ceramic piece. This period laid a strong creative foundation and honed my skills in various art mediums, fostering an early passion for artistic expression.
